Licence and Safety
PZBUK is listed on the official register of legal bookmakers maintained by the Ministry of Finance (gov.pl/web/finanse/legalny-hazard). The operator holds a permit from the Minister of Finance, renewed in 2024, issued to Cherry Online Polska Sp. z o.o., part of the Cherry Group. Its operations are subject to state control – PZBUK pays a 12% turnover tax per player – the tax is charged on your stake (you effectively play with 88% of your stake), not deducted from your winnings. Separately, if a single win exceeds 2,280 zł, PZBUK withholds 10% personal income tax on the whole win (not just the excess); winnings up to that amount are paid out in full. Registration requires mandatory identity verification (KYC) by submitting a scan of an ID card or passport and proof of residence address. Without it, no withdrawals can be made. Licensed bookmakers in Poland must implement a responsible-gaming policy approved by the Minister of Finance, including mechanisms that let players control their activity (Article 15i of the Gambling Act).
